At Silvatein, we believe fashion is less of an expression of individual style and more like an embodiment of the ever-shifting panorama of how the world around us shapes our perspective. By taking conscious efforts into building a Home-grown label that captures such shifts. With a thoughtful and slow approach we create outfits in small batches, giving every piece the time and care that it deserves.
Our work involves crafting designs that are based on the ideology of love, belongingness and a deep value for fashion that lasts like those creases on your dress. As a small team of local dressmakers, designers, and artisans, we are working towards instilling traces of cultural elements from the diverse and rich land of India into every stitch and every crease.
The word Silvatein (सिलवटें) is a Hindi word that translates to “creases, “folds,” or “wrinkles”, and holds a poetic depth to it. Just like the feel of the soft creases on a dress that was not just worn but lived in and loved, or the sweetest essence that lies beneath the subtle folds of our memories, reliving the time we first wore it, or the gentle and greeting way our hands smooth the wrinkles on the fabric that has stayed like a true companion
